i will b getting a 89 blaze red gtus that ryte a gtus and it does not run for a while n i have an 86 base sun rise red in running condition. the plan is to take everything from the gtus and swap it over to the 86. basically making it an 86 gtus ryte. what i like to knoe is what make the gtus so dang special? is it the 4.3 lsd, the 16" rims what is it......plz help.

The rear end is different.

The options are different (check the stickies at the top).

The body is different (like all s5's).

The motor is different (like all s5's).

Less of them were made so it's more rare.

 

i would try to salvage the GTUs if that is possible, personally i would much rather have a GTUs over an 86 base.

i think the only thing wrong with the gtus is the engine cuz the owner blew a radiator hose and i think it went in the engine and screwed it up. maybe get replace the shortblock with another s5 then.
