Death becomes the stereo surround

Late this October eve, the stereo surround silently expires. Ending its miserable existence of fracturing decay, in respectful rememberence, below the workbench it passes on a one-way trip to the trash.

It its absence, the dashboard realizes a new possibility, the adoption of a fitting panel of functional radiance . .

Great start!

What do you plan to cover the plywood with?

Ideas for holding it in place?

Hmmm...

Once again the master of rotary improvisation whips out another DIY project to edify his ever-improving Seven.

Keep us posted!

How about a carbon fiber template? I was thinking of doing that but it would look too flashy.

Ahahahahaha!

Black Vinyl or leather will cover the face and sides of the panel. Think "Porsche center console" and an image will form in your mind . .

The logicon has passed. The three ***** and dial take its place.

But I just have one thing to ask . . what kind of english major would even take his stereo surround off?!?!?!?

Not all engineering students are verbally crippled! Although, judging by the last presentation day I witnessed at school, we don't tend to leave an impression of having the gift of speech . .
