Dash Lights

When I bought my new n/a fc the dash lights were out so I changed the bulbs. They now work but even with the dimmer switch all the way bright they still aren't very bright like they should be. Is there anything else that could cause that beside the bulbs?

What about other electronic components with lights in the vehicle, do they function correctly? (Radio, etc.)

Does the dimmer switch work all the way up? (In other words, as you turn the dimmer all the way up, do the lights continue to increase or does it stop at a certain point?)

Did you put the right bulbs in?

Cheers,

My Headlights wont go down but they light up. Dimmer switch works all the way up it just isn't as bright as it should be that high up (they continue to increase). I swapped the bulbs right outta my TII cluster so bulbs should be the same and working cuz the TII's cluster worked fine.

you put the wrong bulbs in... you probably used 192 bulbs where you should have used 168 (3 watt vs 5 watt respectively)

so the S5 TII cluster bulbs are 3 watt and the S5 n/a bulbs are 5 watt

murrays would carry these right?

if that's the case then it's cuz I swapped my TII bulbs into the blown out bulbs in the n/a S5

The bulb brightness is also measured in candlepower if that helps. The original equipment dash illumination bulbs are #158 (2 candlepower). #194 bulbs are also 2 candlepower. #168 bulbs are 3 c.p (50% brighter) and is the bulb I prefer to use. Makes a noticeable difference.
