Dash Harness '89 convertible to 86?
Will a '89 convertible dash harness work in a 86 GXL? Specifically the piece that goes to the dimmer switch.

My dimmer switch is fried and so is the wiring. I rebuilt the switch and I also have a spare dimmer switch from a convertible.

No, the harnesses are different. When I swapped my '90 GTU dash into my '86 GXL I had to keep the S4 harness.
