Hey guys
Im finally getting my turbo 2 started up again after 3 years(been out of town) so i put new platinum spark plugs, i had to put ATF and it would turn but not start. Then I got engine start and it started, I let it warm up and all and when i put it down to idle it went dead. Did that a couple times and it only starts with engine start (the spray).
Im thinking it could be the primary injectors? (that being why it wont start by its self and wont idle?)
What can I do about this? Can I clean the injectors?
thanks guys

Sure, send them off the witch hunter or someone that does it professionally. The only way to clean them is with an ultrasonic cleaner, but its not too expensive and turn-around is quick. But before you start pulling things off, make sure you've got voltage for the injectors at the ECU with key to ON. My injector clips corroded off of a primary injector once causing it not to start once....
You should read the fuel section in the FSM it tells you how to relieve fuel pressure and then prime it again once reinstalling. It is very simple. I would recommend Witch Hunter Performance to clean your injectors. I used them and they are top notch. They have a great website that tells you exactly what they do to. They are cheap with a very fast turnaround time as well.
I'd think it's something other than dirty primary fuel injectors. IN fact it's the last thing I'd suspect.
Bad gas? Low on fuel? Is fuel flowing thru the fuel rail when the yellow two socket connector is jumpered and key is ON?

haha, just had this problem.
turns out it was the fuel pump.
after sitting for 2 years it ate up a lot of stuff.
after you start it with the starter fluid, let it die.
take the key out.
put it back in and turn but don't turn car on.
listen for the fuel pump.
we have no trunk mats or anything in ours and we had the trunk lid thing that covers the fuel pump out.
so when we turned the key it was really audible.
thats how we figured it out, we heard an felt nothing before.
good luck.

the thing is guys, after the I used engine start i can keep the car going as long as I hold on to the accelerator. Once i let go it dies out. So Im not too sure if it the fuel pump, I have a walbro 255. I also have a switch to turn it on and off so if the switch is turned off it wont even start, on it does what I said. Just cant start without engine start spray
