damn interior door lights...

why the hell are they staying on? i just got my oil changed and came home and noticed the lights were staying on, so i went around the car slammed the doors and the hatch. they are still on. but if i turn the ignition they turn off wtf has just happened?

You must have some "custom" wiring.
The door lights are not supposed to be on the ignition circuits, or the main relay.

That circuit is always hot from the battery and gets its ground at the door switch.

Is the door light in the warning panel working normally?

You may have some "creative" wiring in the ground side of the lighting circuit.

But since they go off with the ignition switch, the hot side must be rigged also.

The previous owner must have deliberately wanted the door lights on when the key was on.

aftermarket security system incorrectly wired or partially disconnected??? Or broken door switches and your dome light is not working or switched off?

the dome light doesnt work, hasnt since i had it. i ended up just pulling the bulbs out so they wouldnt kill the battery(on the door)
