that's about the shottiest design I've ever seen for an intercooler.
Unless I'm thinking backwards, don't you want the air to travel the shortest distance, while traveling through the widest part of the intercooler? example:
Bad:
Intake-------------------Outlet
/----------------------------------\
\----------------------------------/
Good:
Intake, Intake, Intake, Intake
|----------------------------------|
|----------------------------------|
Outlet, Outlet, Outlet, Outlet
