Dad took FC for a spin....now missing light cover

My dad took the car for a spin yesterday. This morning I went out to go to a friend's house and there was a gap where the light cover was.

it's the white/ clear ( with this pattern) cover under the headlight cover

:::::::::::::::::::::::

what is that part called? it's not the stock orange reflector that lights up...it's the piece above it. It's missing on my baby... There's one on the other side, but on this side, it's just a hollow area and I can see the headlight even when it's closed by looking through the newly made gap.

haha.. i kept accusing him of racing and stuff, but he denied everything. he says someone probably stole it off the car while it was parked.... = T

thanks for the info, everyone!

I did a search for the FTP lens, but can't find any.

where can I buy a replacement cover for the FTP?

and I found some threads on the jspec FTPs that can light up...where can I buy those?
thanks again!

White Seven, can you give me the exact link for the FTP lens on mazdatrix.com please?

I've been trying to find it and have pretty much gone through all the categories on their website. Thanks!

What side, maybe he was trying to help performance by pumping some cold air into the intake . . .

BTW, if my kid ever complained about anything on his RX, I would pull the car. I have at least 1K invested in his car.

The studs, which are attached to the plastic of the FTP lens, often separate when the plastic becomes brittle from heat and age.

Hard braking will have you losing one.

www.ebay.com

www.thepartstrader.com

and the for sale section in this forum are great places to find parts. Put a want ad in the for sale section and you will get your FTP lense faster.

Hey thanks everyone!

Haha, I didn't complain to my dad. I was just like, if it was me, I would never hurt the car.

The FTP that I am missing, if you are facing the car, is the one on the left.

I heard that if you replace the FTP with the JSpec ones that light up, you can't high beam on your headlights?

Thanks everyone.

gotdatfiyah... the one on the left if you face the car.. how much?

Umm no one stole it off your car unlss they popped the hood and put your headlights up.

To get at the screws you have to twist your hand in a tight spot with a 8 or 10mm socket and undo the 2 nuts.

Mine popped out after I rearended someone. So there was some type of force acted upon it(rock, car, etc)

The FTP plastic threads are pretty brittle.

I would check local junk yards for some good ones because they are like $40 each new.

Your highbeams are fully functional BUT you can't shine your high beams through the FTP lense anymore when your lights are down. The Jspec FTPs have a bulb in it that isnt very bright. I've seen them in person and they look kinda cool but they dont light up the road or aid in lighting.
