Customizing a factory 2nd gen spoiler to fit a vert

Not sure where I got this photo but seems like a good idea, does anyone know what factory 2nd gen spoilers could be used to do something like this?

I used a wing off a late model mustang (20.00 on ebay). it looks like it belongs, took 30 minutes to install and came in black - so no painting required.

forgot to add, the stock antenna becomes useless as sit would hit the wing. I moved it when I had the whole car painted

Here are a few the day after it was painted. I still had not cleaned up the car so it might look a bit dirty.

About 8" forward of the old location. I used a power antenna from crutchfield. The motor is remote from the antenna housing.

You will have to beat me in a race to earn the right to peak under the hood.

Anybody have any thoughts on modifying one of the stock 2nd gen spoilers like in the first post pic? Is this a T2 spoiler, what other factory spoilers were there? I'm not big on wing or pedastal types.

Thanks

I thought about it. Due to the truck deck I decided to go the way I did. You would ahve to do one of three things to use it.

1. Attach it only to the deck. I thought that the ends would flop around too much.

2. Attach it as normal. You loose the trunk.

3. Slit it for the deck. I thought this was the worst of the three ideas as it would look bad from the rear.

Yea, I've been thinking about for about a year now. Can't be done and look decent due to you having a TRUNK instead of a hatchback. I had a stock one (or one of those rubber black ones, Not sure if it was stock or not) the antenna hole was perfect and everything but.......there is a trunk. Like Gadget said you can cut slots but that would look like ****. Or you could cut it in the middle and shorten in so that it lays only on your trunk and does not fit all the way on your fenders but then you have an Antenna hole that needs to be filled and a spolier that's too thin for you car.

What Gadget has done is really nice.

OBTW Gadget, My stocker with an "AUTO" Tranny would stomp your ****.

(you gotta know I'm kidding or looney with that statement)

You could cut the bolts off the spoiler where it mounts to the body,
and then mount it only to the trunk lid, which is probably what they did...
That way, when the trunk is closed, the wing falls flush to the body...
Then it only looks stupid when your trunk is open... heheheh...

And moves around at 60 miles per hour scratching the hell out of the car.
