Custom headlight wiring questions( i've searched but my schematics are different)


The above is what I've seen posted in a few threads through searching here. From that above picture the 30 post in the relay is being fed 12v power constantly right?


Well in my Relay packaging it says that post 30 is 12V "out" and post 87 is 12V "in"

So is my relay different? If they mis-marked the package will I fry my lights/switch/relay/wiring? I really don't want to spend more money on another set of bulbs and stuff.

No, they just do not know the agreed convention for labelling relays, as set down by the International Standards Organization. With a 4-pin relay it doesn't really matter because pins 30 and 87 are just a simple switch. But if you have a 5-pin "changeover" relay it does matter, as you can see from these schematics.
