custom FMIC

Hey guys!..this thing is starting to bother me and i hope somebody tells me if i did i shitty job, well not me but my favricator (t'was my idea!). Here we go. Me and favricator customized my NPR FMIC and i think we did a shitty jod design wise. We made the end tanks rectangular instead of having it turn on the bottom. Will this affect air flow???.. I guess intercooler manufacturers made the turns on the bottom of the IC to direct air flow. Can somebody tell me if our design will work??..

**notice the end tanks are more curver and is pointy. Im assuming they made this design to direct more air...

IMO those end tanks will work fine. The curves, angles, and tapers that you see on other IC's help reduce air turbulence. I don't think that your square ends will hurt your pressure drop too much. If you are really concerned, then you could just cut off the ends at an angle, and weld a new single pice of aluminum plate in place on each side. You would still have square joints, though. Personally, I'd try it as-is, and if your car goes faster, then I would call it a success. That's what it's all about, right?

BTW, nobody has a "perfect" IC, including me. Look, my inlet and outlet are not quite as efficient as yours, my end tanks aren't rounded, and only the bottom edge is angled. I love this FMIC, and wouldn't trade it for anything else that I have ever seen.
