custom e-fan shroud?

hey all i got a gm e fan to put onto my koyo radiator and was wondering about the wholeshroud idea. what kinda foam can i put on there to seal it that isnt going to melt with those temps? like a foam that aint gonna stick to my radiator enough to ruin it? also can i jsut make a shroud out a metal? if so where can i find some?

Ive never seen a foam shroud... interesting. All Ive seen were plastic or metal. For the metal try to find a metal recycler. They have huge piles of the crap the will sell for very cheap.

I would think most foams would degrade cause of the heat. You ever touched the stuff under the stock one?

I would look for a weather stripping or some type of rubber which would resist the heat.

I managed to cut and chop the original to fit the one I got off 3.0 V6 omega it works excellent

i dont mean a shroud outta foam. i mean just something to make a seal between the one i make and the radiator.

try cutting the original if not silicone sealent can withstand upto 200c that should do it
