CS exhaust audio clip and "Name That Seal"

figured while i was askin ya'll some questions i'd post a clip of my exhaust since everyone loves to hear how other peoples exhausts sound...

Exhaust info: '89 GTUs stock manifold with 2.5" to hi-flo cat to Corksport 3" catback

Also i made a new game... it's called NAME THAT SEAL!!! oh wait... don't get too excited... and yes... you can play too... just d/l the video but 56k beware it's 22.3mb!!!

What color is the pieve of seal you found floating in the tank?


If the car runs, I wouldn't worry about it! Just always watch your oil pressure, and water tempeture....

Also is it a paper gasket, or more like an RTV?



And good god, I'll never buy a CS exhaust!!! That is freakin loud....

you can see the seal in the video... it's black with alternating black and white sides... and i have been losing coolant internally from what i can tell... look at the video

seal is like a rubber band

The only thing I saw in teh video was the back of your car....

It must not have played right. But I had sound


And it sounds like your engine blew a chunk of a coolant seal....

the first half is of the rear of the car so i could get the smoke that usually comes out when i start it.... it then switches to me holding the piece of seal up in front of the car and showing it to the camera...

file size reduced to 10mb using mpeg4... should make it more d/l friendly

Is it white smoke?


If so, and you are loosing coolant, then you most likely blew a coolant seal.

it's pretty loud... my friend says he can hear me across my neighborhood... about a 1/3 mile, and can tell me when i go into my driveway and park
