Cruise control mod idea neded

Need ideas on how to hook up my CC on my S4 Base to the TII TB. The car came with CC. I just found that the cable is to short to reach. A bit of searching showed the TII module is different and the wireing as well.

the NA unit is vacuum modulated, and thus may not work on a turbo car because the turbo car can hit boost.

the turbo car had a stepper motor for cruise control

could it be that simple, swap in a different cable? I now have a NA throttle cable to mess with.
Has anyone used a NA CC servo on a boosted car? I would think that most of the time I would be using the cruise option, I would be in vacuum. Not sure how the diaphragm in the servo would like being pushed on at 13 PSI.

Throw in a check valve so it will never see boost.

At that point, it would just be like an old car with vacuum powered wipers. stomp the gas, and they no workee anymore.

Actually, even better idea. Add a vacuum reservoir behind the check valve so that under any normal circumstances, you will never loose cruise control under brief periods of boost.

Boom, done.

i like! the FD has a big vacuum storage tank for the twin turbo system, bet you could find one of those for like $10 with the check valve...

If you use a off the shelf check valve I would like to know. And the cable if you get a part number. I am in the same boat and the TII servo didn't work.

Found a part number for check valve. Dorman Help! 47149

The build has been going quite slowly. I'm going to press on with getting her fired up and driving, but I'll be revisiting the CC mod very soon. I have the double throttle check valve from the yanked NA engine TB I was going to use. I'll update this thread when I have more.
