OK. i dissconected the plug to the cruise control unit itself(cruise control computer) and applied the OHM's with the ground on the ignition. I first tried 20K on the OHM's but got no reading. I switched down to 2000 and got it to read 2 on all 3 test's that you stated.... so they did read somthing...(1 OHM) i then checked the GREEN/YELLOW wire directly at the conrol unit itself with key on and it was reading goood voltage...
though im not sure i did the last test right...
and i checked to see if the clutch and brake worked with it and they did too...

If you got a ground signal on each of the wires I mentioned, when the appropriate switch was *made*, then in my eyes the switch is good.

And you say that the BRAKE/CLUTCH signal of batt voltage was there only when you depress the clutch or brake, meaning that those two items are not the cause of the cruise not engaging.

Go to the cruise motor in the engine bay and see if your getting power to it. It looks like its the green/yellow wire that should be powered up with the Cruise switch to Main.

IF that is good, go for a drive. Turn the Main on. Then at a steady speed HOLD the SET switch in and see if it engages or not.

Question: Is it possible you have a S5 switch in your car and not a S4? The S5 switch face is slanted on the front but the S4 is straight up or squared off if you will.

Scan or take a picture of it and let us see it. The switch. S5 sw won't work in S4 unless wires get swapped and the Main sw is depressed constantly.

this was good, had power
