Cruise control accelerates?

Cruise control accelerates?
Whenever I turn on my cruise control, the car slowly accelerates. What could cause this? It is a stock S4 Turbo II

When in cruise mode, by holding in the button, your vehicle will accelerate. So I think that your contacts are bad, or your SET button is stuck. Especially if it just continues to accelerate at a decent speed.
