Does it idle fine if you unplug the BAC?

Bac is unplugged. All the blockoffs have been done. I can barely get it to start. I got it running on the 550cc's for a while and it idled great, the 460cc's it will not stay running. ( I can pop start it all day long.

( BTW the person who throws an idea out there that fixes this will get $50 in thier paypal)

If it's a TII ECU I don't see the 460's working for it, at least well.

To get this straight, S4 N/A block, S5 wiring/manifolds?

It cranks like a normal rx-7 ready to start. It hiccups and then slowly starts to gain speed, when it hits about 300-400rpm via the starter speed it will start and run..

So it cranks slowly at first. Have a spare starter you can try?

anytime mine hicups and sputters to a start slowly its flooded. what condition are the spark plugs and wires in? are the grounds all tightly bolted? have you tried jumpering it to another running car? since you say it starts easily by push starting it id say its getting too much fuel/flooding or the starter is dying. are you still using the T2 fuel pump? it may be sending too much fuel.

The car cranks normally, there is no problem with the starter. It cranks normally. I have jumped it off a running car with no change.

It is 100% flooded. I am positive of such. The grounds are all bolted tightly.

The starter works great though, so good it spins the engine up to 500rpm at times.. Cranks great.

Def getting too much fuel or not enough spark... Or both. I hooked up the JAcobs to it Sunday without any improvement...

Well the car ran before I put it back to stock. So I think the bad injector thing is probably out the window.... The other injectors I put in there came out of a running car too...

Sounds like it's flooding out if the plugs are coming out covered in fuel. Try shutting it down by draining the fuel. You can use a cut off switch, pull the pump relay, or rev to 3k and turn the key to Off.

See how that works.

He has a TII engine. However, the pump "might" be overloading the FPR or something. I had a TII pump in my N/A (pure N/A unlike his) and it ran fine. Not the best gas mileage... but it ran fine and it was on a new rebuild with used parts.

put a fuel pump cut on it, shut of the pump. start the engine turning over, it will fire then turn the pump back on and there you go.

stock management puts to much fuel in the curve for a ported motor, so it just floods, cutting the pump is a bandade.

How can it put too much fuel in if it's flowing more air from the port? The stock ECU doesn't learn so the fuel amount injected won't change.

its probably not the best thing for your engines health to dry start it then flip the fuel switch every startup.

Also it's s5 so I "clear the flood" by flooring the gas pedal. Then it just floods back out again 2 seconds later.

stupid question... your sure you have the L and T and 1 and 2 plugs and wires in the right spots? its either getting too much fuel or its not getting enough spark to burn the fuel.

how old is the gas?? it could be bad gas even.

Well I was driving the car around with the standalone and just filled it up about 30-40 miles prior to the teardown. The gas is good.

Well the Spark plug wires are hooked up what I think it right,...

L1 on the bottom of the front rotor
T1 on the top of the front rotor
L2 on the bottom of the rear rotor
T2 ont he top of the rear rotor

I ran across a similar issue before, I found that a cracked wire to an injector plug was grounding to the block ...

Why would it be harmful? There's still oil lubricating the chamber. I can see that it "might" be "somewhat" harmful if you're premixing, but still...

Ok I don't know a whole lot about the car. I know the car used to run and now it doesn't. It has always been run as a N/A. The motor was built to be a monster N/A. Car had a Wolf3d that was way over my head. I swapped in the T2 electrics so that I could install my turbo components when I got good and ready.

There is very little info out there regarding this perticular car.
