Question Cranking, no strart

Recently had my alternator rebuilt after I drained the battery of all its juice when I was pulling the car out of storage after two years.

Got the alternator back, complete with a stellar test sheet. Installed in the car and the car will now crank forever and not start at all. If I unplug the two pin connector on the back of the alternator, car starts just fine. If I plug the two pin connector back into the alternator once the engine is running, it will stay running. RPM lowers for a bit because it's loading the engine to charge the battery but the engine will stay running. Once the engine is warm, I no longer need to unplug the two pin connector to start the car, it starts just fine.

Weird one right? Anyone got any ideas?

Try charging your battery overnight or get a new one.
