craked turbo manifold...add to list

craked turbo manifold...add to list
during the rebuild we find this, (see attachment). the crack is like dead center and about 3/4 inch long. is it okay to sand and weld it? I'm broke and since I am running rb full 3in turbo exhaust would could be done to avoid this or baby it.? an aftermatket wastegate? advice...please?
mine is a 87 turbo 2. i got the pic off ebay.

I heard this is very common. Most people do nothing about it. But it is caused by high heat .. I.E maybee running lean, clogged cat or somthing. I don't think there is anything wrong with welding it, just make sure it is not going all the way down in your housing. Also fix the heat issue.

i have never seen a S4 or S5 turbo which wasn't cracked in that area, also the manifolds aswell, go over your manifold very carefully
