cracked DP

Well I found a crack on the weld of my RB DP. Called RB and they took good care of me. Now my question is the car was tuned with the DP cracked. When I replace the DP will it run richer or leaner? Can I put this DP on and drive it or do I need to get a tune? thanx-

you should be fine... it wasnt a gaping hole (im assuming, you would have noticed the exhaust noise), so there shouldnt be any difference between the backpressure cracked and uncracked. You wont need to retune the engine unless it was a pretty big hole. Even then, the only difference would be more backpressure at the turbo, so lower boost, and if air were leaking IN you would be seeing leaner mixtures than what is really present, making your tune on the rich side. Just keep an eye on the AFR's, just to be certain, and if they're about the same, you shouldnt have a problem
