cpu finally fixed....but wait now whats the prob? please read...

so last night i finally got my cpu to properly function...all security and warning beeps etc.

i go to sleep by setting the factory alarm. watch all the flashing lights from the center concil and hear the beeps..all is good!!

about 10 hours later i go to work..and all of the beeps and security no longer work...again!!im so pissed.

any ideas why they would work and then overnight stop working?

How did you fix it the first time? Re-solder?
This kind of problem usually is the connector, or the solder joints to the connector, or a bad ground.
Bill..

Sounds like you missed a solder joint. Probably on one of the main power wires

Cold+bad solder joint=no worky
or
Hot+bad solder joint= no worky

Are you sure you are removing all the old solder with braid or a solder sucker before flowing in new solder?

Icemark is right on, I had a friend solder my turn signal cpu only to have it crap out when it rained really hard last friday. School sucks, I don't have time to fix it right now.

Since several things are giving trouble, get a VOM and ohm out the ground (black) wires at the connector.
