cpu ??
i need to know if you can use a n326 cpu instead of the original n327 cpu, on an 87rx. fire in engine had to replace wire harness hoses throttle body, dont know if cpu is damaged. if any one knows please send me some mail. ncc8972@aol.com

The CPU controls the body electronics like the horn, and turn signals...
I think you mean the ECU (engine or emissions control unit).
The 86-87 N326 can be swapped with a 88 N327 ECU. As covered before, you need the first two numbers to match to swap. So a N333 would not work.
