Thumbs up CP Racing rear strut bar

I just installed the CP Racing rear strut bar. It was a pain in the ***, becaue of the carpet... I had to measure everyting out and the carpet on the shock towers has really thick plastic behind it to keep the shape. That plastic is very hard to cut. Here is a picture of what it looks like right after I finished... didnt even clean up the mess yet.

Wouldnt know. The car is a project right now, no engine or tranny. If you look in that picture you can tell I dont have a shifter, because the tranny isnt in. The engine is being ported and built by me, and I got the tranny sitting around. Need to get RB full turbo back exhuast, Microtech, fuel injectors, and clutch and im ready to go.

Sounds like a lot huh? Its going to be awsome though s4 sport car running a modified S5 turbo engine... light car+powerful engine= fun... I'm also putting in KYB AGX struts with Eibach comp springs.

When i put mine in i just put it over the carpet (didn't want to cut and way too much work ). It takes A LOT of pushing and hammering since it real tight if you dont' go under the carpet.

I love it. It also divides up my hatch so things don't go flying tward me when i stop

rear of the chasis is stiff but unsure of the amount it had with it. I'd say a fair amount.

I wouldnt put it over the carpet. Carpet is soft and the bar wont do as good a job.

Um.. If you are bolting it through the carpet, it's not gonna matter as long as you torque the bolts up. The carpet will probably prevent any squeaking that may show up over time.

But it looks better IMO with the mount bolts underneath the carpet.
