Couple of TB questions-'89 GTU-s

Today I started taking the intake manifolds off to get the aux ports & VDI working again, and I had some questions about the throttle body.

First of all, when I took it off, it let out a fair amount of oil, where did it come from, and is this normal?

Secondly, I took off the water thermopellet(There was a lot of corrosion on that side of the TB, and I figured that was the likely source). There was no coolant passage in the TB, but there was in the thermopellet. By the way, that white stuff on the gasket is hard as a brick, feels almost like resin, no idea what the deal is with that

Last question-

Anyone know where this is supposed to clip to? It's from the TPS.

The oil comes from the PCV valve, and is normal for there to be some oil vapor condensed back into fluid, but if there is more than a table spoon total, then I would look at a bad PCV (or what ever Mazda calls it).

The white build up is from phosphates and silica in the coolant/water. Make sure only distilled water and a good quality green coolant is being used.

and the TPS already looks plugged in and mounted. Not sure what you are asking on that picture.

Thanks for the response, I'll definitly flush the coolant when I'm done with this, I don't know what the previous owner was using for coolant.

As for the last picture, What I meant was there's a plastic clip and a mounting bracket attatched to the TPS connector, so the connector should attach to something somewhere, but I don't see anywhere to clip it to.

There is supposed to be a coolant passage in the TB there right?

There is no coolant passage through the throttle body, just through the one if the cold start throttle themo pellet assembly.

And so you mean the bracket is not attached for the TPS???

So what's the purpose of the coolant passage on the mounting surface of the thermowax assy. if it doesn't go anywhere? Just to ensure leaks later on in life?

Why didn't mazda stick with the style on the left(From an 86NA) since there's no coolant pasage in the TB?

BTW ice, I noticed you've already answered the oil question several times when I included PCV in my search, dunno how I missed it, sorry
