Does the air from the air pump need to be metered on the S5 to open the 5/6th ports correctly? It was being metered before I put in my custom intake (cone). And I know my ports open, but i was wondering if the airpump not being metered has any effects at all

And second, why do people with s5's wire their ports open? I dont understand why you would kill your lowend and keep your high end the same, since the prots would open up anyway..

 

Air Pump on S5 goes straight into the air box before the AFM. It is just filtered, not metered.
