I have just bought a 1987 Turbo II and had a couple of questions. First, what turbo timer would you guys reccomend, price not being an option? Second, has anyone ever installed the newer taillights ('90,'91) on an '87 RX7. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to talking with and learning from you guys in the future.

Well I think most people get the GReddy turbo timer but I ordered the apex'i autotimer. Haven't gotten it yet so can't comment on it yet. As for the tail lights, that is a very common upgrade. They fit fine, just make sure you get the license plate holder from the 89-91 with the tail lights. The 86-88 won't fit with the newer tail lights.

 

IMO a turbo timer is not required on an engine with a water-cooled turbo. Just take it easy for the last mile or two and you'll be fine.
