Couple of questions...

1988 n/a all stock aside from FD alt

Ive got some sort of wire that looks like a ground with some sort of sensor attached to it. When I put my clutch in and put everything back together, it was this wire that did not have a place to go. Now when I start my car the starter is 'weak' (does not sound like it is cranking as strong/as fast as it used to) which I thought it was just my battery being a little weak, but who knows with this wire being disconnected. The car seems to run fine the rest of the time with the wire disconnected, but I still want to find out where it goes.

*The wire looks like a gorund, except at the head where it bolts on to something, its got a little black box between the wire, and the bolt on thing.
*The wire was hanging next to the starter, but I found no obvious place to bolt it.
*The wire goes up to a plug which leads into the wiring harness.

If its a sensor, ive got no idea what it could 'sense'--- so right now it just sits zip-tied to one of my vaccume lines.

I also have been wondering about the redline buzzer. Since our tach (especially mine as it will sometimes jump around) just gives the 'general' rpm range you are in, does the buzzer sound when the tach reaches 7k or when the engine reaches 7k? If the buzzer sounds when the engine reaches 7k, is it alright (within reason) to shift at the buzzer?

It's a condensor, it's part of the oil pressure gauge circuit. It should be grounded to the chassis or engine with a bolt.

The buzzer sounds when the tacho reaches 6800rpm. Shifting then is fine.
