couple of problems...

i'm pretty sure i have a vaccuum leak, but i haven't found it yet. would it contribute to the idle being anywhere from 600 tp 1200?

would it also cause a lot of backfire while lightly decelerating?

i also have a windshield washer problem. It only functions in I mode, and when you switch it to any other mode it freezes the wipers whereever they happen to be. i replaced the wiper switch and it changed nothing. is there a relay that might be blown or could it be the wiper motor? i used the FSM and it didn't help me out very much.

one last thing is that my power falls flat aroun 6500-7000 depending on the gear. it feels like there's not enough fuel being sprayed. would the stock injectors just die? i plan on changing my fuel filter but i doubt thats the problem anyway.

any answers would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

power dies off at those RPMs stock

your idle is probably caused by a vac leak or TPS issue. I would suggest(if you don't have to pass emmissions) to remove the rats nest and go with pre-mix. This helped my idle issues a lot.

If it's backfiring on decel, it's your TPS. As for the wiper switch, did you get a new one or was it a junkyard one? Wiper switch problems are very common, so if you search, you might find some more help than I can give.

Practically every FC in the world has this problem. You need to get a reman switch. I think ICEMARK makes them too.

Switch with the faulty relay replaced. Thats all thats wrong with the switch.

The relay contacts become corroded and cease to function.
