couple emissions questions
First thing, if i remove the solenoid rack will i still pass emissions or will i have to put it all back to normal for the test?
Second, just want to make sure cuz im going to order the stuff i need tommorow. I removed the air pump, ACV, EGR valve and the Split air pipe. To block off holes and hoses/lines am i correct with this:
I need:
air control valve gasket
air control block off plate
something to cap off the vacuum lines(suggestions?)
EGR block off plate
Are those all the things i need?
Suggestions for wat i should use to block the vacuum lines off?

From the BC emissions link on a search for "british Columbia Emissions Testing"
The AirCare standards for a 1988 passenger car with a curb weight of 1300 kg., and an engine displacement of 1.3 litres are as follows:
Driving Mode HC Standard: 97 parts per million
Driving Mode CO Standard: 0.79 percent
Driving Mode NOx Standard: 1156 parts per million
Idle Mode HC Standard: 126 parts per million
Idle Mode CO Standard: 1.04 percent
SOOOO it looks like you get a sniffer test on a dyno.....
AND.........
The following exemptions are in effect during 2004:
2002, 2003 and 2004 model year vehicles
Vehicles with vintage plates
Motorcycles, snowmobiles, amphibious vehicles and ATVs
Farm fleet and agricultural vehicles
Motor homes with a net vehicle weight over 3500 kg.
Vehicles with collector plates* (except new applications for collector status)
Electric vehicles
* Please Note: Vehicles are required to pass an AirCare inspection as a one-time condition of application for collector's designation
Looks like you'd better put everything back on there.... Cat won't be working right without the air pump... and the dynospec says it runs your car at 40KPH and at a load of 20 HP.... having the EGR off is probably gonna muck things up as well... you need the solenoid rack to work the emissions, and you need the ACV to have the emissions system work correctly.
Doesn't say if they do a visual inspection for parts.. if not, you may be able to "clean it up" with High octane fuel and leaning it out with an SAFCII to get it into spec.. but i dunno

I believe it is quite well explained in the archives:
This thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=112251
and yes, you'll need at least an air pump, ACV, and cat to pass emissions. You may be ok without EGR valve but they may have a visual inspection. You don't need the rack per se if you know how the whole system works (just route the vacuum lines where they supposed to go), but again they may complain if you have a visual.
they may also complain if they don't see the fuel vapor recovery stuff and blow-by gases recovery stuff (charcoal canister, purge valve, etc).
It really depends on the laws and the shop that does the inspection.

Well.. if you are already removing the things you stated, you still probably won't pass emissions. But then again it all depends on how good of shape your emission components are. I failed several times with everything stock on my '88. But if you are taking off those things, you might as well go all out. Get rid of the cats, the vaccum rack, etc... it also cleans up the engine bay too. But by no means, if you are trying to pass emissions, don't take any of that off until you pass.
The vaccum rats nest isn't as complicating as it looks... i got rid of mine..
Just hit up an auto parts store and get some fuel line and some vaccum plugs. www.K2RD.com sells a full kit of block off plates and accessories for your car for a pretty good price.

Yeah so here's a good question. What happens to your motor when you remove the oil metering lines? Kaboom! not a good thing. Definitly want to leave them connected. I guess for now i'm going to leave all that stuff connected until i know exactly what i can disconnect and what is what.

Thats why you replace the oil injectors with bolts and block off the MOP and run premix
