couple easy questions

k..... i'm new to rotaries (i have basic understanding of how they work and what-not).....so... on an '88 gxl how hard would it be to turbo it?? what changes would need to be made.... would it be worth it?? already going to change apex seal (is there anything else that should be changed like that??).... but how does the compression and stuff work?? would you need to change the rotors to turbo it (like changing pistons to lower compression to run more boost)?? these are probably dumb questions that have been asked a million times, so i apologize, but my roommate just got one... i've always loved fcs (all rx7s, and even the 8) so i'm excited to finally get to work on/play with one...

Basically, to turbo it, you need to swap in a turbo engine, harness, ecu, etc. You CAN turbo an N/A, but it's not something you could do with your knowledge... no offense.

Swapping apex seals requires opening up the engine in case you didn't know. In other words, you might as well rebuild the thing.

i understand the apex seals, that's not that big a deal.... why do you need to swap i guess is my main question, what are the differences..... i know you can't just bolt on a turbo and expect it to work, especially on a rotary...... but with proper tuning i assume it should be fine.....
but what are the main differences between the turbo and na rotary engines??
if we go through with the rebuild, couldn't we set it up for a mild single turbo setup??
i'm not implying we will be doing everything, though..... there is an awesome mazda specialty shop that is decently priced and all my experience with them has been amazing..... so for stuff we don't understand i can jam them up.... i'm just trying to get some good info on the engines..... if no one wants to explain this to me, can you point me to some good sites for info, cause i searched these forums for about an hour and still haven't found much....

thank you..
