Counter weight needed for M/T?
When buying an aftermarket flywheel for my FC, must I buy a counter weight for it if I have a manual transmission?... or is this only for automatics?

Ok, if you have a s4 engine you use s4 automatic counterweight. If you have a s5 engine you can also use the counterweight off of a s5 automatic engine. This doesnt matter if its turbo or na, as long as its the same series. If you cant find a counterweight then look at some sites online for one.
Most aftermarket flywheels (my sr motorsports did) will come with the auto counter wieght. You can also pick one up from mazdatrix. The reason is that the manual cars had the counter wieght and flywheel as one peice, autos use a torque converter that cant be wieghted so it is a seperate piece bolted to the rear of the ecentric shaft in front of the converter.
