Angry Could new tranny mess up my idle?

My tranny went out a month ago and I just got it replaced, but now my idle will not go below 4 grand?? What in the world could cause that? I have never had any problems with my idle untell after I replaced my tranny????

Look for cracks or loose connections in the plastic intake ducts.
The engine gets pushed back & forth when pulling & replacing a tranny, which could have opened a crack somewhere in the intake.

I just cleaned out my BAC valve and my idle went from 4 grand to around 2500 rpms. So thats a little better. Come to think of it I think there was a ground that was on one of the bolts of my clutch cylinder. I put that ground on my intake manafold for some reason. Thanks for all the input guys!!

I think that's a capacitor for ignition electrical noise on your clutch slave- the ground on the tranny should be at about the 12 o'clock position, terminal with a bolt- the wire should go to a dedicated firewall ground terminal
