My 88 turbo II which I recently purchased from auction, does not boost. The car has 130k and my question is could it be anything else besides a worn out turbo? I dont know a whole lot about turbo's so anything would help. Thanks!

 

wastegate stuck open? but then you'd still get some boost. are you sure its not getting boost? the stock gauge is a peice of crap. do you hear the turbo spool?

 

get the turbo checked out. If you're a DIY type of person, remove the intake hose from the turbo and check to make sure that it moves freely/quietly and doesn't contact the housing. There should be VERY little shaft play side to side and NONE back and forth.
