Corvette airpump for cat converter?

Does anybody know the part number or what years this pump came in. I would like to use one to inject air into my cat converter. (I no longer have the stock air pump as I have an after market turbo.)

Thanks
Ian

from what i understand you really only need to run the ump when ur doing ur emissions testing. basically when they go to install the sniffer in the exhaust pipe and then turn it back off when ur finished. i hear that the air pumps burn out after 10 minutes of continious use.

Thats what I did. Flipped her on right before they stuck the sniffer in the pipe. Turned it off when the test was over. I used the 1300cc write up.

I'm pretty sure thats what you're after Ian.

No idea on part number or availability north of the border though. I'd suggest going to a napa or the like and see what they have. Either way, this one's pretty cheap....whateva

I don't know about the later GM airpumps ,but the earlier ones( mid-90's LT-1 cameros, corvettes, impalas etc.) should be run at 9 volts.
