is this a correct diagnosis?

today, i had the car in second, accelerating at about 3/4 throttle.

at about 4000 rpm, I believe I felt the stumble that these cars are known for, it felt almost like an automatic transmission was shifting, it wasn't a long hesitation, but just noticable.

is my diagnosis correct is this something else?

if it is, please link me or explain to me how to reground the engine

More than likely. Your secondary fuel injectors engage at 3800 rpms sometimes bad grounds cause the "stumble" effect.
