Corksport Vs Godspeed FMIC?
I honestly dislike godspeed, though i hear nothing wrong with their fmic, it is a greedy copy. You will always have to defend it being a copy as opposed to the corksport.
But if you purchase corksport, you are supporting a vender of rx7 goods, so you can't really go wrong there.
The godspeed and any jdm fmic (hks, greedy etc) mount the intercooler opposite of the corksport, meaning the piping is on the bottom instead of on the top.
You may have to lose your front bumper support regardless of which one you go with .

Ha, I was about to chime in but I see my post already found its way into this thread.
I'm still gonna use the stock tmic for now, but I won't push the boost above 15psi because the tmic is just too damn small to cool all that air.
FWIW I've installed some crappy ebay FMIC kits before and sometimes the fitment is so bad it's just not really worth calling it a kit. Also, I have a friend with a mazdaspeed miata, and he has the corksport fmic on his car. The fitment was better than most, but the thing rattles against the frame, and its loud enough to hear outside the car. He could probably fix it with a hammer or by taping a pad in or something but still, it's not exactly ideal.
What I want to do for my fmic kit someday is just look at the pic of the fmic kit, and then buy all the piping and couplers separately and make my own. Or even just measure out my own kit.
On the other hand, if I could find an old school HKS style FMIC kit I would prefer that. Even with all the horrible 90 degree bends, I would prefer to have the setup actually fit on my car with minimal cutting, and I don't really want to give up one of my storage bins for my battery.
Weirdly enough, I actually like having a complete interior lol. And I don't want to cut up my bumper and have a huge IC grinning out from there. Maybe I'm just crazy But it seems like a lot to sacrifice for a tiny amount of gain in spool time.

and I know right? who wouldn't want to rip out their bumper support and cut out all the supports so that if you hit a sparrow your bumper cracks? And who wants a storage bin either?
actually, I keep jumper cables in one, and a fire extinguisher in the other, so no room for a battery

I have an FD and i am curious of buy the Godspeed or MK1 Interncooler kit!
My engine is All stock except for the Air Filter (RE Amemiya Intake Filter).
Godspeed fits properly fro stock fds, don't know about the MK1.
Any suggestions?
