i dont think that fan would help you much except for keeping temp's down when your not moving, well IMHO

Air to water (or other liquid) intercoolers have been around for years. A Google search on "air to water intercooler" should turn up all the info you need. They work quite well, but it certainly not a new idea.

Why not? Its been proven that our hood scoops actually create an area of low pressure inside the scoop area, making the intercooler effectively useless. A fan should do a world of good, espically a decent sized one.

I know about a style of air to water inercoolers. Are you talking about the water injection style? Or one like I have described? I'll do the search. Thanks for your info.

i think your idea of injecting a cooing liquid of some type onto the intercooler would work better than running cooling lines. alot of pro racers inject nos onto their intercoolers. the propane might also be an idea, but those are both pretty flammable materials to just be spraying into the engine bay.


if you were to use it just for dragging, maybe have a ice water cooler in the cabin of the car, hooked up to a windshiled washer pump squirting ice water onto the intercooler. that would probably work out well, if the water was ice cold. it is not flammable at all, plus it would just evaporate leaving no stains or mess.

true, but I was just wanting to have the incooler cold that way the air is always cold and I don't have to keep putting ice somewhere or get a N2O bottle refilled.
