Coolent Problem

Hey guys i search about this problem and i think i found something out off the 3rd gen form. Whats going on is i just got my j-spec installed and everything is good but, it lose's coolent ALOT of it, Runing it about 3 mins it'll be around 3 4 quarts low! Though it was doing better and tryed takin it down the road bad idea didnt make it 1/4 mile and was already almost on H on temp got back was alittle more than a gallan low and i do know it only takes 9.2 quarts, But what i read on a thread under 3rd gen if you let the car run without the the cap on the filter neck and the coolent goes up and down spills out then goes low it is a water seal. Is This True? What else could it be if its not? All the lines are open, i've flushed the hole system, no external leaks.

how many did you put in in the first place?? it'll take 8 or 9 I think. when you fill it up the first time it won't fill, you have to run it with the heater on till it warms up, then it'll take a few more. if it only took more once, then it's probably ok, you just need to finish getting the air bubbles out so it will stop over heating. if it's lost 3 quarts more then once (how many times have you ran it??) then you have a problem somewhere.
