Coolants sensor and water pump...

Hey guys... where is the sensor that tells that damned annoying buzzer that you don't have enough coolant?? I KNOW I have plenty of coolant cause after the thing went off I opened up the cap last night and it was up to the top. Also, how can I test to see if my water pump is working?

Thanks

Aaron

its the one on top of the radiator. The blades on the water pump are metal, so they dont really go "bad" they start to seep and then you replace.

On a 87 you can have water at the filler neck and at the same time have nothing but air in the top of the radiator, where the sensor resides that turns the buzzard on and off. On your car, you have to eliminate that air pocket. Mazda put a bleed screw on the right hand side of the radiator. You need to remove it when filling at the filler neck. When water comes out of the scres hole you put the screw in and at the same time keep filling to the top. That sensor with the one bullet connector, has to be covered with engine water so it can put a ground on the buzzzard circuit, to turn the thing off. Right now your radiator is not full.
