coolant idiot light

ok i have a mystery. my coolant idiot light and its annoying buzzer keep going off. it only does it when it's really cold (like 20 degrees or less). i've checked the coolant level by looking in the overflow bottle and down the filler neck and it looks fine. the overflow bottle was between the lines and everything. so is this a bad sensor, bad wires, bad job checking the coolant level? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

X Mazda tech, if you just open the cap and find that level is correct, it's not, warm the motor so there is flow, then with one hand rev it up 3k is good and watch the coolent level drop and top it off at the same time and put the cap back on let go of the throtle. This is a most for 1st gen and 2nd gen also like. If you are still getting air it may be HC, you should know the rest by now.Thank you, Steve Gambone RX4/twin turbo/2nd gen suspenion self plug
