coolant flush question
coolant flush question
From what I understand, this is how you flush. Drain radiator, refill radiator with water, run engine. Then drain radiator, fill with 50/50 mixture and you're done.
When you refill with the final mixture of 50/50 in the radiator, you still have some water in the engine coolant passages that will dilute the mixture once the thermostat opens. So how do you go about getting 50/50 in the radiator and engine?

subject covered many times
you cannot simply drain the radiator, you have the drain the block too
there's a coolant drain on the block where the driver's engine mount is
drain both, then flush and fill
there's a good write up on this subject on www.fc3spro.com
and ohhhhhh I forgot, SEARCH!

i wouldn't trust the guys at midas to do a good job, they probably just pulled the radiator plug and drained it and refilled it, leaving 50% of the coolant in the motor still.
