Coolant Buzzer Problem
Coolant Buzzer Problem
My coolant buzzer goes off in my car no matter how much coolant is in my car. I have check for leaks and come up inconclusive. I have been told by a co-worker who also owns an 86 n/a what the problem is and he seems not to really know either. My car also refuses to warm up and my climate control does not work, which is really dangerous in the NW during the winter. I do not know if these problems are caused by the same thing or if it is a bunch of little things. Any one who has advice to what this might be i am all ears.
Thanks for the time and suggestions
I am also wondering what shocks, struts and springs would work best in my car.

Mine did the same thing when I drove it from Georgia to Texas just this past december. It turned out to be that my rediator cap had gone bad so I just replaced it and now Im good. If no pressure can build up in the system the buzzer will go off thinking there is no coolant. Check that and see if it helps.
The issue of not warming up is likely a stuck thermostat (can also cause no heat in the passenger compartment). The problem with the coolant buzzer is probably either air in the system or a bad sensor/wiring.
Do you bleed air from the system when you fill it? If your car is s4 you should fill from the cap by the engine not the one at the Rad. To bleed the air out, loosen the screw in the top left side of the Radiator and fill the sysem until fluid comes out then tighten down and top off. I like to do this with the engine running so any bubbles in the sysem are worked out. You will find yourself repeating this process regularly if you have leaks in the system.
Check both your caps, all hoses, and the weep hole at the waterpump. If you replace the caps make sure you use the correct ones; the pressure cap goes where the tube for your overflow starts and should be rated at .9 bar. The other cap is just a plain flat cap.
