Question Cool weather = No start ? ABS relay clicking? Ignition Switch?

S4 TII

I when I turn the key I can hear the main relay come on. And when I attempt to start it I can hear what sounds like a single relay click somewhere on the right side of the dash.

The car does not attempt to turn over, it just clicks; once for each time to turn the key to start. I have had to turn the key 2-3 times to get the car to start since I've owned it (ignition switch?) but it always starts. Now that the weather has cooled down this seems to be more of an issue.

I mentioned the ABS because it has been deleted except for the computer, and as a result, the "ABS" light stays on most of the time. Interestingly when I turn the key to attempt to start the car the ABS light goes off for as long as I have the key turned to start, and promptly returns as soon as I return the key to acc. The ABS fuse under the hood has been re-tasked to supply power to my efan, so those wires are not connected.

Is it possible for the ABS computer/relay to cause starting issues?
Does cold weather affect ignition switches?
WTF is goin on here?

You're in Florida, so what "cold weather" are you referring to?

At any rate, I don't think temperature has anything to do with it.

Whether you have a blue plug near the Main relay or a blue plug going to the Starter Cut relay just run a wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the Black/White wire in this plug and the starter should turn over each and everytime the B/W wire is fed voltage. If you have the Starter Cut relay you could remove the plug from the relay to have better access to the B/W wire and no key is necessary.

EDIT: The ABS light goes off w/key to start because only IG1 fuses receive power when key is turned to start and the ABS unit is not powered by the IG1 fuses but instead by the IG2 fuses which lose power temporarily with key to start.

And ABS is unrelated to the starting circuit.

For accuracy sake I said "cool" - in this case defined as < 70° when I start my car I'm the morning. Its been fine all spring/summer but I suppose that's merely a coincidence.

Thanks!
I do have the blue plug under the trailing coil, looks like I'll test that out while I'm doin my battery relocation.

If you have the interlock switch on top of the clutch pedal then look for consistencies such as each time the key is turned to start does the B/R wire at the switch have voltage or not or when the key is turned to start and the clutch depressed does the B/G wire at the switch have voltage or not. Then the B/G wire at the blue plug near the Main relay is the same B/G wire at the interlock switch so it should behave the same way under the same conditions. And if the B/G wire in the blue plug has voltage then the B/W wire in the very same plug should have voltage as well, and if it does then the starter solenoid, being connected to this same B/W wire, should also have voltage as well.
