Convertible top replacement issue

I just changed out the top in my 88 vert, got everything bolted up and interior reinstalled. Drove it around yesterday without the targa piece. Today I decided to throw the targa piece back on cuz I was heading out to places that I would need to lock the car. Apparently it's not installed right, because it won't latch to the windshield crossmember, it is about 1" short. What do I need to adjust to make it latch right?

Nevermind, I did a little thing called 'searching' in the body section of the FSM, and found it. Sucks that I might have to remove half the interior again

There is a "kill switch" of sorts on the top motors. From reading the FSM either motor works independently of one another. One on the left (weird, on the passenger side it seems), has a kill switch, that stops it at a certain point from raising. The one on the right, stops it from dropping.

It's like a toggle I guess.

I've also got an 88 vert and the top is SHREDDED. You did this yourself right? How hard is this and any tricks/traps you can share?

Thanks for any info!
