Question Convertible top motors

I own an 1988 vert. I put the convertible top motors on bypass a few years back because the switch went bad. I have just purchased a new cluster switch. Is it possible to put the motors back in operation with the switch? Can I reverse the bypass/manual mode?

Yes, you have to remove all the rear covers (if I remember correctly) in the back like you did to bypass the motors and re-engage the motors. I forgot if you use a screw driver or socket, but there is a hole/bolt or screw on the side of the motors that you have to screw/turn in to re-engage. I do remember you want to be gentle with those screws/bolts, just turn them till they stop

Just take it apart and you will see it on the side, I forgot it's been a while : )

The owner's manual has instructions too!
