convertible switch location clarification

got into a conversation with a guy in an rx7 group on facebook. he was saying that s5s only have the convertible switch located in the center console. however, mines on the dash as part of the wiper switch. is the location related to specific vehicle options? just looking to clarify, thank you

This is correct.

Vert + air sack = switch in center console

Vert + no air sack = switch in wiper switch

Oh, and all USDM S5 verts have an air sack.
