Does anyone with an amp enclosed in the spare tire compartment have a problem with their amps overheating?

I think it depends on the amp and how it's mounted. Here's that efficiency thing again, since higher efficiency usually means lower thermal losses. Also, if you mount the amp vertically you should make sure the cooling vanes run vertically as well as hot air rises and you don't want to imped the flow. You can also install a cooling fan, if need be. So far I have had no overheating problems with my system. Knock on wood.
