Convertible Questions??

I have a couple of questions about my 88 Vert.

First question: The heater in this car has not worked since I have owned it and I would like to fix this problem. I thought it may be the logicon so I swapped another one in and the problem still remains. The A/C works great as does the vent and fan and all other functions of the logicon, but still no heat. Is there a valve under the console somewhere that opens the heater core to the coolant to provide heat in the car's cabin. Could this be the culprit and if so how hard is it to get to and replace?

Second question: The top decided to stop working. The beeping sound comes on when I turn the switch but the top motors do not engage. Is there a fuse or relay the could be bad?

Any help is alway appreciated!!

Never mind about the top question. I figured that one out. It was a bad e-brake switch. Still need help on the heater problem though.

Is it an auto or manual? Mine is currently an Auto and sometimes it doesn't think its in park unless your wiggle the shifter or put it in neutral instead. Also the top won't work if the hand brake isn't pulled. Don't forget that.

"The beeping sound comes on when I turn the switch"

I have a 91 s5 vert and I have a button between the seats, do the s4 verts have a different switch?

As far as the heater goes I have no idea. Sorry.

probably either a bad air mix motor (does the dash motor move when you slide from hot to cold- with the engine off, but the key on, you should hear the motor moving), or a stuck/clogged valve.

And if the air mix motor is bad, it pretty much blows out that circuit in any logicon plugged into it.

I don't hear anything when I move the hot/cold slide. I do hear the motors working for all the ducting of the air from a/c vents to heater to defrost, etc.

So, if the air mix motor is bad the the logicon is screwed also. That sucks. Does the air mix motor always ruin that circuit in th logicon or do I have any chance of the logicon still being good?

I have never seen a bad air mix motor not take out the Logicons air mix circuit. But I suppose its possible just to have a bad motor.

I have rebuilt Logicons on my webstore/website or can rebuild one of yours for you if you need one.

If I do need the logicon rebuilt, what kind of price range am I looking at. I have two logicons. If I sent you both of them, fixed one for me and kept the other for yourself, how much would you charge?
