- conn for battery

Ok, some more questions. Where does the ground for the battery go? I am going to make sure that is tight.

Obviously being loose would cause hard starts and lack of charging right?

also. Why is it not safe to run a wire... (Directly from alt post to + on battery terminal...) doesnt the altenator have a built in resistor?

Guys, i'm just trying to solve my charging problems. she's never done this before, and now all a sudden she's leaving me in parking lots after work! WTF!

The first couple things you should do besides checking your grounds is have your alt. checked as well as your battery. Make sure all the connections are cleaned, sometimes its just a corroded connection that may result in a bad ground.

I have a 2 week old battery and altenator in my car, just replaced them. while i did that i put in 2 new ground straps (engine to chassis) and i put in new gold teminals (for battery) I've checked every possible connection. everything is tight and clean.

I just would like to know where the - goes from the batt...
