Confusion about clutches (I searched)

I want to know if there is any way to use a TII clutch with the NA tranny. I know if you are switching from an NA tranny to TII you need to make sure you've got the counterweight from the right year car to make it work.

I've got an 89 NA and I've got an 89 TII flywheel/counterweight I got off ebay.
Will that alone let me use a stock TII clutch or will it not match up to the NA tranny? My original plan was to get a full TII tranny but the guy I was purchasing it from sold it out from under me after I got the right flywheel.

thanks,

Zeff

UH, you cant do that. A) the input shaft splines are different. B) the flywheel diameters are different, meaning the ringgear diameter/placement are different, meaning the NA tranny with the NA starter will no longer line up with it, in fact it would hit the flywheel and not turn it at all. The t2 clutch is way larger than the na clutch, so no change of using it on the na flywheel either.

Sorry, but this will not work, you *have* to either do it all or none. EVERY component is different in size and/or placement.

That said, I have a complete turbo driveline available(flywheel back) if youre interested. FLywheel, clutch parts(used), clutch slave, tranny, DS, rearend, HS's and starter, looking for around $600 for it all, out of an 87 with around 100k.

Thanks for the info Kevin.

See that's what sucks, I don't have enough $$ right now, I was getting that full driveline for less than 300, but the guy sold it.

What I want to know is if an s4 NA Engine will bolt up to the s4 t2 driveline.

Yes, all the rotary bellhousing patterns are teh same(save maybe the renesis, it may be different) so in theory you can bolt any tranny to any engine.
